Abstract:Ferromagnetic objects will produce magnetic anomalies under the geomagnetic field, while non-magnetic or weakly magnetic metal targets can also generate eddy current magnetic fields under the excitation of alternating magnetic fields. Magnetic detection technology is a technical method of detecting, identifying, and locating these objects. This technology is widely used in mineral exploration, geological research, national defense and military, aerospace, biomedical and other fields. This article summarized the research and application progress of magnetic detection technology for small targets. First, we provided typical description methods for magnetic signals generated by small targets. Then, we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of passive and active magnetic detection. On the other hand, we summarized the data processing and solution methods for locating and identifying small targets. Finally, we looked forward to the prospects of magnetic detection technology for small targets.
