Abstract:The fin-rudder layout of unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) is an important part of the whole design process for a UUV. It directly determines the navigation performance of the UUV. The fluid dynamic characteristics of UUV with a "十-X" layout are studied. The process for analyzing the hydrodynamic performance of UUV is established, including the basic methods of geometric modeling, mesh division and hydrodynamic simulation. The hydrodynamic properties of the UUV with a "十-X" layout are analyzed. The research results show that the equilibrium angle of attack and equilibrium rudder angle of the UUV with a "十-X" layout meet the design requirements, and it is an effective layout for control surface.
