Abstract:A bionic active electric field detection mechanism derived from weak electric fish is introduced. In order to optimize the active electric field detection method, the application of induced polarization method in exploration geophysics is studied. It is considered that under the same excitation conditions, the underwater measured object also has this induced polarization process. Set up the experimental platform environment, use a small reservoir to simulate the sea water environment, supplemented by mature equipment, in this experimental platform, DC induced polarization method and frequency conversion induced polarization method electric field detection experiments are carried out respectively. In two different experiments, different characteristic relationships were set up to quantify the experimental results. Each experiment tested the blank background control group, copper cube, copper cylinder, aluminum cube, aluminum cylinder and plastic cylinder respectively. The principle of DC IP method is simple and the reduction degree is high. There are obvious differences between all experimental groups and blank background environment, and the IP effect of all metal objects is stronger than that of non-metallic plastics, which is in line with theoretical analysis. Compared with the DC induced polarization method, the frequency conversion induced polarization experiment has no obvious correlation and law between groups.
