With the continuous development of marine resources, the requirement for underwater detection technology is getting higher and higher. In order to meet the need of rapid detection and imaging, and solve the problem of installation convenience in underwater dark and complex environment,a kind of underwater active electric field detection array layout and its imaging method are studied. Based on the underwater active electric field positioning and detection principle, the array design mimics the detection activities of weak current fish, and the target detection is realized by carrying the transmitting electrode and receiving electrode array to mimic the EODS and electric field receiving organs of weak current fish. The amplitude of each receiving electrode is obtained by FFT algorithm, and the intensity change of the received signal of underwater array is obtained by difference. Then, the intensity map of the array is drawn by interpolation algorithm to image the target object. Experiments on detecting and imaging metal objects with different shapes verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
