Abstract:Traditional autonomous underwater unmanned aerial vehicles (AUV) mainly perform underwater intelligence collection, hydrological environment monitoring, and underwater target detection and disposal, including military activities. In recent years, with the development of information technology and artificial intelligence, the AUV industry has received increasing attention from various sectors, especially from the military of various countries, and has been rapidly developed and widely applied. As an unmanned reconnaissance platform, AUV has gradually broken through the conventional scale and developed towards large-scale and ultra large-scale directions. The types and scales of payload that can be carried have undergone significant changes and improvements. This article analyzes the current development status of large AUV as reconnaissance equipment at home and abroad, and analyzes the ability construction of using large AUV for surface reconnaissance, The development trend and key technologies that need to be addressed for carrying surface reconnaissance payloads on large AUV were highlighted, providing support for further enhancing and expanding AUV combat capabilities and fields.
