When submarines search for positions，it is often difficult to grasp the movement elements of targets，and it is difficult to select the correct maneuvering style for positional search. In order to select the best maneuvering pattern for searching under fixed positions，by comparing round-trip patrol search，bow-character search，zigzag search and so on，and under the condition that the general direction of the target and the direction to the key area are known，while the target direction is generally unknown，the effectiveness of the submarine search pattern under different conditions is obtained through simulating calculation，so as to provide a reference for the selection of the maneuver pattern of the submarine to search for targets in fixed positions.
