In order to improve the reliability of nuclear power plant cold source,it is necessary to establish a deep-depth defense system of marine organism identification, detection, early warning and graded response,in which detection and early warning are the front-end disposal measure, providing accurate and timely marine organism information for the follow-up graded response, replacing the underwater inspection of divers to reduce industrial safety risk. In this paper, the underwater acoustic high-resolution multi-beam detection method is used to detect jellyfish and other marine organisms, and their echo characteristics are obtained. Then the distribution density and body scattering intensity characteristics of jellyfish in sensitive sea areas are analyzed. The result shows that high-resolution multibeam acoustic method is effective in detecting marine organisms at the outlet of nuclear power plant.
